Allison Maxim is the founder of Maxim Smith and a family law attorney working in St. Paul, MN. Allison’s practice as a divorce lawyer consists of international and interstate family Law, general divorce and family law, friendly divorce, domestic violence law, and collaborative law. Allison Maxim has a law degree and a master’s degree in psychology. Her practice significantly benefits from her study of human psychology, helping her understand people’s emotions and connecting with them on many different levels. Apart from helping the community through her law practice, Allison is also committed to the cause of supporting students to complete their education in areas of social justice and other areas that support human rights. By offering scholarships to students interested in pursuing areas such as justice and civil rights, Allison pays it forward and paves the path towards a brighter future for students and their future involvement in the communities in which they live.
The Maxim Smith Social Justice Scholarship Program
The scholarship will be awarded twice a year and is not a needs-based scholarship. To qualify for this scholarship from Maxim Smith, applicants must satisfy the following requirements:
- They should have been already accepted into an accredited college in the United States.
- They should be excited about pursuing a college degree in immigration rights, civil rights, gender, anti-harassment policies, social justice, or other similar programs that work to bring justice for all people.
The scholarship will provide two $500 awards, one every semester, to two different students. The deadlines for applying for the scholarship this year are July 1, 2018, for Fall semester 2018, and November 30, 2018, for Spring semester 2019.
The selected recipients for the scholarship awards will be notified of their selection by August 31, 2018, and December 31, 2018, for the respective semester applications.
