Dear Clients and Colleagues:
We are writing to you today out of consideration for the health and well-being of our staff, clients, colleagues, and community. As we navigate COVID-19 together, we want to be transparent in our communication and keep you updated on our plans. It has become clear that the best way we can help preserve the health of our community is by taking any action we can to slow the transmission of coronavirus, and we believe we have a moral obligation to do so.
Effective Monday, March 16th, 2020, we are transitioning to a remote-work model for the next 30 days. Because we are equipped to continue providing seamless services to our clients while advocating for them both in and out of the courts, there will be no disruption in providing the service and responsiveness you always receive from the Maxim Smith Family Law team. We will work with all clients to implement remote, virtual meetings for those who are able to participate. We will accommodate in-person meetings only as necessary and on a case-by-case basis and take all precautions for such meetings. We will provide timely updates on the status of all court hearings and alternative dispute resolution (ADR) methods (e.g., mediations, early neutral evaluations, settlement conferences, and the like) as we receive information from the Minnesota Judicial Branch and ADR professionals. Please continue to reach out to our team as you normally would.
Attorneys Allison Maxim and Tara Smith are fully committed to ensuring that we continue doing what’s best for our clients’ interests, today and always.
We wish you and your loved ones all the very best,
Allison Maxim
